PROGRAM/CODE : DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCE)

Synopsis: The research degree programs Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Administrative Science and Master of Administrative Science have been offered by the Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies since 2006. The research program facilitates students with the required research skills in various field of specialization in administrative science discipline. The students are supervised by the academicians and experts in the respective fields. The graduates are capable to work in research and development activities in the industry or university.

REQUIREMENTS |
|
i. A Master’s degree in a relevant field or other related disciplines from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognized by the UiTM Senate;
OR
|
|
ii. Other qualifications in a relevant field, equivalent to a Master’s degree recognized by the UiTM Senate, with related experience;
AND
|
|
iii. Successful in an interview conducted by the Faculty.
|
|
iv. The application must be attached with the research proposal.
|
|
v. Candidates without a related qualification in the field/s or working experience in the relevant field must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UiTM.
|
|
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT: ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS |
|
International applicants are required to obtain a minimum: |
|
i. Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 3 OR |
|
ii. IELTS Band 5 OR |
|
iii. TOEFL: Internet Based Test (IBT: 35-45); Computer Based Test (CBT: 107-131); Paper Based Test (417-450) OR
|
|
iv. CEFR: B1 OR |
|
v. TOEIC: 356-440 OR |
|
vi. BULATS: 40-59 |
|
vii. Candidate who does not have MUET or TOEFL or IELTS is required to attend six (6) months English Proficiency Class (EPC) prior to enrolment to the program. Upon completion of the EPC program, candidate needs to sit for TOEFL/IELTS/MUET examination with the score as stated above.

PRE-REQUISITE REQUIREMENT FOR AM990:
Applicant from the Field other than Administration, Law, Business & Management with no working experience in the relevant field:
- a) Introduction to Policy Studies
b) Introduction to Public Administration
