The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Policy Studies (FSPPP) at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is a distinguished institution specialising in public administration, public policy, and governance. Although officially founded on 14 January 2004, its origins can be traced back to the introduction of Administrative and Legal Studies at Institut Teknologi MARA (ITM) in 1968, emphasising a long-standing dedication to excellence in this field.

This historic journey began in 1960 with the introduction of the Corporation of Certified Secretaries (U.K.) programme, followed by the offering of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries (U.K.) course in 1964. In 1965, the RIDA Training Hall underwent a major transformation, rebranding as Maktab MARA. The subsequent introduction of the Diploma in Public Administration and Local Government (DPALG) in 1967 marked a significant milestone, alongside the official establishment of Administrative and Legal Studies in 1968. Various professional courses were introduced during this period, laying a solid foundation for the development of a skilled national workforce in public administration.

The development of our educational programmes has been characterised by key milestones, starting with the restructuring of the course in 1969. This progression includes the introduction of the Advanced Diploma in Corporate Administration in 1993, followed by the Bachelor of Corporate Administration in 1995 and the Bachelor of Administrative Science in 2002. In response to modern demands, the faculty launched the Diploma in Corporate Administration in 2016 and the Bachelor of Environmental Administration (Honours) in 2018. These initiatives highlight the faculty's commitment to addressing sustainability and environmental issues.

Today, FSPPP continues to show its commitment to excellence by offering a diverse range of academic programmes at diploma, degree, and postgraduate levels. Its academic influence is significant across the country, supported by its main campus in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, and branch campuses in Shah Alam, Melaka, Kedah, Terengganu, Sabah, Sarawak, and Pahang.

The remarkable achievements of our institution are deeply rooted in the legacy of early advocates, the dedication of our educators, and the invaluable contributions of our alumni. The faculty stands not merely as an academic entity but as a beacon of knowledge, integrity, and the future leadership of our nation.
